The pages of this book consist of "labyrinthine criss-crossing lines that covered the paper so thickly that it was hard to see any white space at all." Actually a text emerges "Be Just!" from the X's that is taken from "In the Penal Colony" by Franz Kafka.The cross grid image is from "Spot the Ball" rubberstamp. The translucent tracing paper image of eight irregular black dots is derived from a photograph of Moammar Gadhafi's wounds. -- Source of annotation: Marvin or Ruth Sackner.

The book and the compact discs serve as a database for Perneczky's works. In a work entitled "Very Alternative Art, 1981," Perneczky stamped the word "shit" in eight different languages on toilet tissues. The Sackner Archive lent "Cries of Poindexter Village" to this exhibition. In the catalogue, Robinson (1940-2015) describes this work as "a two-volume book I made for my son, Syndey. One volume is 'Schoolyard,' and the other is 'Bethlehem Journey,' a hinged book with a large cloth painting inside. Both volumes are about the voices of the children coming up in Poindexter and the characters who lived there and some of their stories." The folder contains documentation for the exhibition, press releases and a thank you note thanking the Sackners for lending their piece to the exhibition. -- Source of annotation: Marvin or Ruth Sackner.
